'The Challenges When Serving the 21st Century Consumer' Lunch

A dozen guests drawn from the retail and consumer sectors enjoyed an informal discussion lunch, addressed by Susan Murray, Non Executive Director of Compass, Wm Morrison, Enterprise Inns, Imperial Tobacco and SSL International. Hosted by CCG consultants, Susan Westcott (Chair) and Edward Wild, those attending enjoyed a wide ranging dialogue which addressed issues such as the environment, food supply, population growth, the development of the global economy and customer service. Susan Westcott, who leads CCG's Retail and Consumer Practice commented afterwards: "This was an excellent opportunity for some of the leaders in the sector to debate the issues which will affect all their organisations and businesses in the decades ahead. We acknowledged that the discussion was a starting point in assessing the challenges we share, but we will be building on the contributions in our own research which will be published later this year". The occasion was the second such event in CCG's programme of meetings on the theme of the Challenges Facing the 21st Century Board.
