35th Anniversary Celebration Dinner

Date:
23 September 2008
Venue:
Wallace Collection

The Corporate Consulting Group entertained over 100 guests in the splendid surroundings of the Wallace Collection in Manchester Square to celebrate the company's 35th Anniversary. Managing Director Tony English and Dimbleby Cancer Care's Chairman, David Dimbleby welcomed guests to the accompaniment of Eton College harpist Tomos Xerri prior to dinner in the Great Courtyard. Chairmen, Chief Executives and HR Directors enjoyed the opportunity to meet informally before David Dimbleby's anecdotal reflections on his career in broadcasting and the history and work of the charity Dimbleby Cancer Care, established in memory of his father Richard forty years ago. He conducted an auction which, combined with donations made, raised almost £ 10 ,000 for the charity. Edward Wild, Head of CCG's Board Practice, thanked the guests for their support and concluded the event.

David said afterwards: "We were most grateful for the support of CCG in hosting the event and providing us with the opportunity to introduce their clients to our work. The evening was a fitting celebration of both our anniversaries and I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to meet those attending in this most remarkable setting."

Managing Director Tony English concluded: "This was a great way to celebrate our past, to look forward to the future with valued clients and to benefit an important cause at the same time. David not only entertained us but he also conveyed a series of important messages about the work of Dimbleby Cancer Care."
